projects to mark the millennium. Your church may want to participate in some of these as a
part of your millennium celebrations. |

Churches Together in England have developed a NewStart package to offer a new start for the world's
poor, a new start at home, and a new start with God. Their plan involves each UK household
being given a candle and a resolution to say together on the eve of the millennium. |

The Evangelical Alliance has a
range of resources including a prayer countdown to the millennium, a directory of
Millennium events and the Anno Domini project. |

When surveyed in 1998, one in six Britons did not make the
connection between the Millennium and the birth of Jesus Christ. Y-2000 communicates the reason for the millennium in a

produced to support it. |

Generation recognises that beyond the celebration of the 2000'th anniversary of Jesus

JC2000 is the Millennium Arts Festival for UK schools. Ten million
school children will make the link between the Millennium and the story of Jesus,
culminating in a UK-wide event at the Millennium Dome during Pentecost in June 2000.
