Analysing Your Gifts
|
Add up the scores you gave for
each of the gift areas to give a grand total for each gift area. Having added up the
scores for each area, focus on your highest two or three scores. Remember, a low score
doesnt mean that you have no gifting in that area! This is because the questions are
designed to show which are your particular areas of strength, rather than to try and
"rate" your ability in each area. Do take time to appreciate the gifts God
has given you, and thank Him for it.! |
EVANGELISM & OUTREACH :
Add up 1a, 2d, 3f, 4f, 5b,h&,j and subtract 6a
What me an evangelist? Evangelism may not be what it might first seem - the key
requirements are the ability to relate to people, and to be able to communicate with them,
leading them along the path to Christ one step at a time.
WORSHIP & TEACHING : Add up 1b, 2e, 3a, 4e,
5c,d,f&g and subtract 6f
Many ministries are involved here - teaching young people, playing in a music group,
leading services, running a house group. Are you too comfortable in your current ministry?
Is God challenging you to do something else?
PRACTICAL HELP : Add up 1c, 2a, 3b, 4d, 5e,m&n and
subtract 6d
If the church is a body, then those with the gift of service, or practical help, are the
skeleton holding it all together. Very often the work is seemingly unappreciated, and may
be unexciting - but you are vital!! Without this gift the church wouldn't be able to hold
a single service.
CARING FOR OTHERS : Add up 1d, 2f, 3c, 4c, 5a,b&,j
and subtract 6e
You are tremendously important within the life of any church, not only caring for the sick
and troubled, but encouraging those who are not yet sick! Your ministry may be an informal
one, worked out as you come into contact with people, or there may be more formal
opportunities for visiting those in need.
LEADERSHIP : Add up 1e, 2b, 3e, 4b, 5d,g&,l and
subtract 6b
Applied at all levels, God gives this gift to enable his church to catch a vision of the
Kingdom of heaven and to grow in numbers and in faith. It is not an easy ministry, but one
which offers you blessings to accompany the hard work and the difficult times. If
this is one of your major gift areas, you might like to examine your leadership style by
completing our leadership style indicator.
INTERCESSION & MINISTRY : Add up 1f, 2c, 3d, 4a,
5i,k&o and subtract 6c
Put simply, your gift is the spiritual equivalent of practical help, although you may well
not think of yourself as a spiritual person. Often worked out as a ministry of regular
prayer, your ministry is likely to prove crucial in supporting every other activity of the
church.
This is the end of the Identifying
Potential module. Please would you take a moment to give us some feedback
