A Final Word
|
|
|
Your role is a vital one! You are
strengthening the foundations of ministry for your leader partner. We pray that God will
bless you in this and grant you the joy of seeing the leader you are praying for grow and
grow in the Lord. |
|
If you already have regular intercessors,
value them highly! Do pray for them, and for their protection and thank God for His
provision for you. If not, why not bring your need before Him today? We pray that the
Father would bless you with faithful pray-ers who will be a support and an encouragement
to you. |
Two Checklists
First two check steps for leaders :
- Review each level of the prayer pyramid, spending time reflecting and praying
through whether you have sufficient support at each level. This may lead on to prayer
asking the Lord to lead you to potential intercessors.
- How do you feel about your relationship with your intercessors? Consider spending some
time praying through your relationship with each of your top and middle level
intercessors, seeing whether God brings up anything that you might like to do differently.
Why not close this time praising God, and thanking Him for each of your intercessors?
Next, three questions for the church council to engage in as part of a review of prayer
for the church's leadership and direction. (This discussion may best be chaired by a
lay person, rather than the leader).
- Is the leadership prayed for as an integral part of the church's corporate prayer life?
If so, do prayer groups etc. have enough information on the needs of leaders?
- Does the whole church congregation receive regular encouragement to pray for their
leaders as part of their personal intercessions? Do they need reminding of this?
- Does your leadership need greater personal prayer support? If so, are members of the
church council prepared to commit themselves to pray for the Lord to provide such prayer
support?
This is the end of the Firm Foundations
module. Please would you take a moment to give us some feedback
on it. Thank You.
